EXCLUSIVE: The H Collective, the newly-launched film finance, production, marketing, and distribution company, has bolstered its ranks with the hire of Ivy Sunas CFO. The exec will oversee The H Collective’s global financial strategy, accounting and administrative operations and serve as a catalyst for its burgeoning cross-industry business activities around the globe.
Sun’s hiring comes shortly after that of Jenna Sanz-Agero, who was named EVP Business Affairs and Operations earlier this month. Both she and Sun will report directly to CEO, Nic Crawley.
The H Collective is a Chinese-financed film company which was announced in June. It has production deals in place with Mark Johnson, Joe Roth and Sid Ganis, and plans to finance and/or produce four projects a year over the next four years. On its slate are the 4th pic in the xXx franchise, drama A Children’s Song, horror-thriller Raven Road, and the dramatic-thriller The Parts You Lose. The company also acquires the North American distribution rights to select content under an exclusive partnership with Beijing Culture.
Sun joins The H Collective with a lengthy background in financial services, capital markets and online platforms from her tenure at Chinese fintech firm, Zita Credit, where she was co-founder and CEO. Prior to that, Sun was a senior executive at Lashou.com, one of the largest Chinese online to offline platforms, and was also instrumental in building up the fixed income businesses for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in China over a period of eight years.
“Ivy brings extensive financial expertise to The H Collective,” said Crawley. “Her unique combination of experiences and network in the financial sector and high-tech industries will be the perfect addition to our ever-expanding executive team.”
