James Gunn & The H Collective Team For Untitled Horror Film

Guardians of the Galaxy helmer James Gunn is attached to produce an untitled horror picture with The H Collective, based on a script by his brother Brian Gunn and cousin Mark Gunn. In addition, Gunn’s longtime collaborator David Yarovesky (The Hive) is on board to direct the feature, which is slated to go before cameras spring 2018.

Plot details have yet to be revealed. H Collective is fully financing the project and producing alongside Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment. Exec producers are Brian and Mark Gunn, Dan Clifton and H Collective’s Nic Crawley.

The Gunn family is no stranger to working together. Sean Gunn stars as Kraglin in the GOTG franchise and appears in almost all of James’ films. Brian and Mark work as a writing duo, having written Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The trio is also writing and developing the Starsky & Hutch series for Amazon.

Gunn will tackle this project in between writing and shooting Disney’s hotly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3Vol. 2 was released in May and has garnered a worldwide box office tally of $863.5M. On the horror side, Gunn wrote and directed 2006’s Slither, with Elizabeth Banks and Nathan Fillion, and wrote and produced BH Tilt’s The Belko Experiment.

H Collective’s is currently in production on its first feature, The Parts You Lose, starring Aaron Paul and is in development on the fourth installment of the of the xXxfranchise.
